
The Onboarding Experience: How to Promote Retention for the Very First Day

Retention begins on day #1 of a person’s employment. If the onboarding process is effective and engaging, staff will build a strong commitment to the organization and its mission. If the onboarding process feels stale and/or overwhelming, staff will become disengaged almost immediately. This is especially true with younger workers.
We will offer practical ideas of how managers can set standards and promote the mission with new staff from Day #1. There are “tricks” to onboarding. This class will cover some great ideas that are easy to do, but will make a significant difference. If you want staff to stay, you want to make their experience in the early days of employment positive. Scenarios and tools will be offered in this session.
Cancellation Policy: Registrations for Single day classes canceled with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded. Registrations for Multi-day classes canceled with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded. No shows will be charged the full registration fee.
