Technical assistance

IAC provides technical assistance to our member agencies by both direct consultation, as well as through the workings of our various committees.

Direct technical assistance by IAC staff is available in a variety of areas including:

  • Understanding financing and rate systems
  • Rate maximization
  • Reporting requirements
  • Medicaid and other compliance requirements
  • Certification and regulatory requirements
  • Program design, staffing design, space planning, site location, zoning, and assistance in working with local laws
  • Professional Practices
  • Review of "best practices” and relevant regulations

In addition to direct technical assistance, IAC’s committees support open discussions and problem solving with other member agencies. Committee meetings are open to employees of all IAC member agencies. In each meeting, members can share experiences on a variety of topics. This interchange of ideas and discussion of problems also allows IAC to pinpoint systemic barriers to agency/program operations, and to assist in the resolution of problem situations. IAC’s committees include:

  • Adult Day Services
  • Residential Services
  • Comptrollers
  • Clinical Services & Programs
  • Human Resource
  • Consumer Support Services
  • Training
  • Early Childhood
  • Quality Assurance
