To:  NYC Early intervention Providers:

Please be sure that you have received this important from the NYC Bureau of Early Intervention regarding an audit of EI agencies fraud prevention measures by the NYC Early Intervention Program, BEI’s Provider Oversight Unit.

The audit requires that providers complete a fraud prevention checklist. In order to assist agencies with completing the checklist and to meet the requirements NYC BEI is conducting a series of Q/A sessions in December (see nnouncement letter below).  Please be sure to register for one of the three sessions and submit any questions you may have in advance of the sessions.

The IAC along with the other EI Provider Associations are co-sponsoring the sessions with NYC BEI because we strongly support NYC BEI’s efforts to identify and remove any individuals from the early intervention system who commit fraud against the children and families who depend on these critical services.

The registration information for each of the sessions can be found in this document (it is towads the bottom of the page) - Fraud Audit Announcement Letter
