The full range of special education services available through New York City’s special education system and how to advocate for them will be discussed. Designed with immigrant families in mind\, this session provides culturally responsive guidance and practical advocacy tools for parents/caregivers of English language learners but all families with children with disabilities can benefit from this information. \nWHO SHOULD ATTEND: Parents\, family members\, caregivers and professionals who want to enhance the lives of children\, teenagers & young adults.
