DESCRIPTION:Date: April 16th 10am – 11:30am \nUnderstanding the Role & Importance of Functional Behavior Assessment & Behavior Intervention Plan in Your Child’s IEP \nThis presentation is designed to help parents and professionals understand what a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) are\, how they fit into a child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP)\, and how these tools work together to support a child’s behavior at school. Participants will learn when it may be appropriate to request the FBA/BIP process\, what behaviors may indicate the need for additional support\, and how schools use assessment information to better understand and respond to a child’s needs. The session will also cover effective progress monitoring how schools track whether behavior supports are working\, how to measure success\, and how often data should be reviewed.
