DESCRIPTION:Date: September 8th 10am-12pm \nPresented by Hopper Trainings LLC\nMembers $70/Non Members $95\n\n\nProper engagement of individuals in the community is a component of the DSP Core Competencies. While there are numerous trainings offered in Orientation and Annuals that cover most parts of the Core Competencies\, the community inclusion competency can prove to be difficult to teach due to the variety of external factors associated with community engagement. This training will help prepare staff to consider the conduct\, safeguards and risks associated with community outings\, covering leisure trips\, getting necessities\, family events and medical appointments.\nTraining Objectives include:\n\nAn assessment of an individual’s readiness and preparations for completion of the communal activity\n A breakdown of what is expected on the outing and expectations from the individual\n Items/actions necessary to have a successful outing\n Emergency preparedness\n The Dignity of Risk\nThe Power of Praise\n\nTarget Audience: DSPs\, Community Specialists\, & Community Habilitation Staff\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\nIAC Cancellation Policy: We are unable to refund Registrations for Single day classes canceled with less than 24 hours notice and Registrations for Multi-day classes canceled with less than 48 hours notice.  No- shows will be charged the full registration fee. \n
