SUMMARY:ONLINE-Crisis Intervention for Administrators
DESCRIPTION:presented by Jason Hopper- Hopper Trainings LLC \nONLINE VIA ZOOM \nMembers $60/ Non Members $85 \nStaff who work in an administrative capacity at I/DD organizations may not work directly with individuals\, but they do encounter them on a regular basis. If that contact is combined with an unexpected challenging behavior\, the staff can be left feeling helpless and unprepared. This course was created to address this issue and stems from a real-life incident involving an individual and an administrative staff. The content will give administration the knowledge and verbal cues to utilize when faced with a similar situation and will ensure everyone’s safety.

SUMMARY:ONLINE Picking Your Battles
DESCRIPTION:presented by Katherine Gould-The Visions Center for Creative Management \nMay 23rd 10am-1pm \nMembers $70/Non Members $95 \n  \nNumerous challenges face managers every day. Sometimes\, managers must speak up and fight for changes that are necessary or advocate for program needs. The problem is that managers can’t take on every battle. So how do you determine where to put your energy? This class will help you identify levels of importance and how to advocate in a manner that will produce results. Managers cannot solve every problem\, nor can they be everything to everyone. However\, we can utilize tools such as negotiation\, documentation of needs\, and present arguments in a positive way to get to yes. This class offers practical advice and strategies to help managers pick their battles and produce desired results.
