SUMMARY:POWER HOUR: A Guide to Effective Presentations

SUMMARY:IT'S GENERATIONAL with Tonia Morris
DESCRIPTION:October 9th 11am-12:30pm \nONLINE VIA ZOOM \nMembers $150/ Non Members $200 \npresented by Tonia Morris\, Simply HR \nWe are thrilled to bring Tonia Morris back this fall for another special presentation after receiving such positive feedback on her Peer to Boss training last year. \nIt’s Generational! is a workshop designed to explore the intricacies of generational differences in the workplace and how understanding these differences can enhance communication\, collaboration\, and productivity. Participants will engage in interactive discussions and activities aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the various generations present in today’s workforce. \nKey Takeaways: \n1. Recognizing Diversity Within Generations: Participants learn that while generational labels like Baby Boomers\, Gen X\, Millennials\, and Gen Z are useful for understanding broad trends\, there is significant diversity within each cohort. Factors such as upbringing\, culture\, socio-economic background\, and life experiences shape individuals within each generation differently. \n2. Understanding Communication Styles: The workshop emphasizes the importance of recognizing and adapting to different communication styles across generations. Participants will gain insights into preferred communication channels\, feedback preferences\, and approaches to collaboration\, enabling them to bridge communication gaps and foster stronger working relationships. \n3. Embracing Multigenerational Collaboration: Through group activities and discussions\, participants will explore the value of leveraging the unique strengths of each generation in collaborative settings. By embracing diversity of thought and experience\, teams can capitalize on a wide range of perspectives to drive innovation and problem-solving. \n4. Creating an Inclusive Workplace Culture: The workshop underscores the significance of creating an inclusive workplace culture that values and respects individuals of all generations. Participants will learn strategies for promoting mutual understanding\, empathy\, and appreciation across generational divides\, ultimately fostering a more cohesive and supportive work environment. \nTonia Morris founded Simply HR Inc. with a vision to be the #1 resource for connecting Generations in the Workplace.
