As you may have heard COPA is changing its name ...
About three years ago, five associations representing more than250 agencies formed COPA to address the legal and policy issues that affect people with disabilites and the organizations that provide the supports and services critical to their ability to live independently as possilbe in their home communities.
Those same five organizations, Alliance of Long Island Agencies, Inc. (ALIA), Cerebral Palsy Associations of NYS, Inc., Developmental Disabilities Alliance of WNY (DDAWNY), InterAgency Council of Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (IAC), and the New York Association of Emerging & Multicultural Providers, Inc. (NYAEMP) are moving forward with changing the name COPA to the New York Disability Advocates (NYDA).
Our NEW name is New York Disability Advocates (NYDA)
