IAC issues 'Missing Person' alerts on behalf of all non-profit agencies serving individuals with developmental disabilties. (This is not an IAC Member Only Service)  The alerts are sent via email to over 4,000 recipients and, to date, all missing or unidentified individuals, found in a hospital or by police, have been reunited with their caregivers.

To initiate an alert, send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. that includes a recent photo of the individual and the following information in Word format:

Name of the individual

Any identifiable behaviors and communication modality (understands Spanish but it not verbal)

Where the person was last seen and, if known, where the person typically goes to when he/she elopes

What the person was wearing when last seen

Whether the person is currently on medication

The police precinct number and telephone number of both police and agency contact  (DO NOT include any family member name or telephone number)

Lastly, we ask that you stay in touch with us and let us know when the person is found so we can send out the good news to all.
