Notice to Reimbursable Employers
Have you heard that the federal CARES Act helps New York's reimbursing employers and their workers?
For all unemployment benefits paid from March 13, 2020 through December 31, 2020 the federal government will pay 50% of that cost. Charges reflected on your prior Notices of Experience Rating Charges (IA96R) and Notices of Reimbursable Billing (IA126R) for the effected periods will be creditied at a later date.
Also, through December 31, 2020 the federal government will pay 100% of the costs for benefits paid under a Shared Work plan. Shared Work is a program which gives reimbursing and contributory employers an alternative to laying off their workforce. Employees can receive partial Unemployment Insurance benefits while working reduced hours. Full-time, part-time and seasonal employees are eligible. For information about the Shared Work Program.
