Is the person aging, is it dementia, or could it be Alzheimer’s? All of these are questions many organizations are asking as the people they support are aging. How do we adjust our support strategies to address changing needs? The system was built on some preconceived ideas of day supports and residential options. But these are now changing as the referrals received are not in alignment with the needs of people in many of our programs. This session will examine supports for people who are aging and how to ensure appropriate care is available to meet changing needs. We will also discuss end-of-life considerations and how to help people address grief and their changing health needs.
