ADAPT COMMUNITY NETWORK – FREE WEBINAR: Understanding Your Child’s IEP

This presentation is designed to help parents and professionals understand what a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) are, how they fit into a child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), and how these tools work together to support a child’s behavior at school. Participants will learn when it may be appropriate to request the FBA/BIP process, what behaviors may indicate the need for additional support, and how schools use assessment information to better understand and respond to a child’s needs. The session will also cover effective progress monitoring how schools track whether behavior supports are working, how to measure success, and how often data should be reviewed. Families and professionals will leave with practical knowledge to help them meaningfully participate in planning, implementing, and reviewing behavior supports for their child.
