We know that the onset of aging happens sooner for people with disabilities. This is especially true for people with down syndrome although many are affected. They can show signs of Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Arthritis, and Memory Loss. Its important for staff to recognize the signs of aging in the people we support and ensure that supports are offered early enough.
