Timely completion of investigations is critical to ensuring the protection and well-being of individuals receiving services and preventing a recurrence of incidents.
For this reason, it is imperative that all service providers are aware of and engaged in improving compliance with OPWDD’s regulatory standards.
This one day training will include an overview of incident classification types, timeframes for completing investigations, requirements and helpful interpretative guidance related to OPWDD Part 624 Regulations subdivision 624.5(n).
Participants will learn proactive strategies and best practices to follow when conducting investigations to ensure that required timeframes are met.
Target audience: Incident Investigators/Supervisors, Incident Review Committee Members, Quality Improvement/Assurance staff
